Our research mission at the Healthcare Innovations Institute, an affiliate of The Neurology Institute, is to provide state of the art medical care and opportunities for patients to participate in clinical trials. Here our physicians are educated and informed on new drugs and devices, from pharmaceuticals to biotechnology, to use better strategies with our medical treatments for patients. In addition, our multi-lingual staff are able to explain the clinical trials thoroughly to our patients and answer any questions they may have.
Our physicians and nurse practitioners involved with research are on staff at Broward Health North, Coral Springs Medical Center, North West Medical Center, University Hospital and Kindred Hospital Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale. Daily, we have been successful in enrolling for all clinical trials offered.

We are proud to offer patients ground breaking therapeutic options at multiple stages of the disease. We are actively enrolling patients in Phase II, Phase III and Phase IV clinical trials for Parkinson's Disease. This provides us revolutionary alternatives to conventional regimens.
We participate in several clinical trials for MS. We understand this diseases multiple forms and presentations. We continue to pursue additional clinical trials to offer promising results. We also have a non-interventional trial involved with gathering data to better characterize the natural history of MS and to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of treatment medications for MS.
At this time, we are able to provide cutting edge treatment options for patients suffering from traumatic brain injuries. We are actively enrolling patients in a clinical trial investigating the efficacy of a medication to treat neurobehavioral disinhibition (including aggression, agitation, and irritability) in patients with traumatic brain injury. We provide support with both neuropsychological testing and cognitive behavioral therapy.
For patients suffering from this debilitating disorder, not only are we providing expertise with traditional medications, we are excited to offer a clinical trial evaluating the efficacy of a medication to treat patients with Trigeminal Neuralgia.
As we continue to serve a large patient population with this progressive neurodegenerative disorder, with the support of clinical neuropsychologists and clinical psychologists, we understand the need for cutting edge research to combat this disease. We offer multiple clinical trials for Alzheimer's Disease. This includes ICARE AD Research Project. We are also excited to offer patients the opportunity to enroll in trial addressing Dementia with agitation. As medical providers we continue to acknowledge the need to minimize the caregiver burden.
Offering Pilot Study with supervised home based transcranial direct current stimulation for major depressive disorders (MDD). Enrolling for other mood disorders with a variety of therapeutic options.
